A summer in the Hamptons

Escape to the Hamptons in MC Interiors’ summer house! Designed by Lisa Melone Cloughen, this sprawling 3800 sq. ft. oceanfront beach house is designed for an active family intent on spending the summer soaking up the sun’s rays and enjoying time with friends and family. With shimmering beaches, vineyards, and country clubs, nearby, this luxurious retreat includes 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and large windows throughout the home.

The home was built for an active, young family intent on having fun with friends and family. The coupleʼs requirements included comfortable rooms with ample space for adults and kids. Upon entering the house the eye is drawn into the living room immediately out through the French doors to the ocean beyond. The plantation style armchairs in the living room were purchased at an astate sale as was the mirror over the martle. Chairs were refinished and reupholstered in a Travers fabric linen paisley. The colors of the fabric echo  the colors of the ocean, sun and sand. The couple stated that the interiors be free of a „beach clichéˮ vibe. Lisa focused on the colors of the beach – sand, water, dune grass, sunshine and sunset and chose comfortable upholstery primarily from Baker/Milling Road and McGuire and the majority of the upholstery fabrics are from Lee Jofa. In keeking with a relaxed beach vibe, bedding selections were kept to a minimum. Each room has a matelassé coverlet, some colorful shams and dust ruffles. The master bedroom, one of the guest rooms and the little girlʼs room all have custom shams and dust ruffles.
