Heimtextil 2017: quality sleeping will be the next lifestyle theme

Heimtextil, the leading trade fair for home and contract textiles took place from 10 to 13 January 2017 in Frankfurt am Main. The fair gathered together the whole home and deco industry: from market leaders, to designers and small companies. Almost 70.000 visitors saw the variety of the exhibited products and also the trends of the season.

2963 exhibitors from 67 countries presented their new designs

Detlauf Braun, CEO of Messe Frankfurt, highlighted the positives following the end of the trade fair: “The figures speak for themselves: Heimtextil grew once again in 2017 in terms of its visitor and exhibitor numbers. But it’s no longer about quantity and hasn’t been for a long time. I am especially pleased about the high quality of the products exhibited as well as the intensity of discussions between purchasers and exhibitors. Frankfurt is the international meeting place and beating textile heart of the interiors industry.”

Trends from Heimtextil 2017

Colourful fabrics with interesting designs, high quality textiles.

No more bare walls and cold floors. This year we will see more of curtains, carpets, decorative cushions.

The next lifestyle theme, after nutrition and sport, tends to be sleeping, therefore many innovations in the bed segment were launched here.
