Prefabricated houses are becoming increasingly popular and they might just become the homes of the future. And might we add, that future seems to be quite near. Already, there are a lot of prefab houses to choose from, and there’s a wide range of styles and sizes. Here are three small to medium size houses that caught our eye.

This home is on the plus size, proof that prefab is not suited only for tiny houses that look almost impossible to live in. Also, its layout has a pretty interesting story. Since it was built for a couple living on their own, there are two separate master bedrooms which are considered retreat areas for each individual. Needless to say, the architecture is strongly influenced by the couple’s chosen lifestyle, therefore the open central area of the house is dedicated to the shared spaces: kitchen, living room, study and library.

Passion House M1
The 51 sqm prefabricated house was intended to be a guest house or an extension. However, when you take into account the fact that the home has a relaxing living room, a bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and – you’re allowed to be surprised – a sauna, the Passion looks like quite a candidate for a full-time home!
The biggest house is definitely Tind, a 1 ½ storey house that has a surface well above 150 sqm. Inspired by nature’s shapes and by traditional architecture, Tind is a prefab that looks modern, while being linked to traditional design - the name is translated as „mountain peaks” and we can definitely see the resemblance. The barn shaped house has a wide entrance and a big central skylight that provides the interior with extra natural light.
